| Cases |
It is essential that an instrument's case isolate the
instrument from shock from the outside and that the instrument fit properly inside the
case. If the case is putting any improper pressure on the instrument damage may result.
The case must have solid hinges and latches and the case must be closed properly to ensure
that the case does not open unexpectedly. It is also important, especially with larger
instruments, to teach students how to handle cases, to set them down gently instead of
dropping them to the ground from 6 inches. |
